Vassar College Gallery presents artwork by local elementary school children, March 26-April 1

"A Celebration of Children's Art," the 15th annual John Iyoya Children's Art Show in the College Center Gallery at Vassar College, opens March 26 and will be on exhibit through April 1. The Department of Education in cooperation with the Office of Campus Activities sponsors the show. Children's art from students in the Poughkeepsie and Arlington school districts and from the Poughkeepsie Day School and the Wimpfheimer Nursery School are included in the exhibit.

"A Celebration of Children's Art" will include work by local elementary school children. The show honors the memory of Iyoya, a Vassar student who exemplified a wonderful sense of creativity and love of children. The show's mixed-media presentation will include watercolors, oil paintings, collages, and three-dimensional works.

The College Center Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. Vassar College is on Raymond Avenue in the town of Poughkeepsie.
